Today the Samsung Galaxy's i7500 little brother, the i5700 "Spica", went on sale in Europe. The emphasis on this being smaller is made by it being a member of the "Galaxy Lite" range - but theres not much to copmlain about when it comes to features. An AMOLED capacitive 3.2inch touchscreen, speakerphone, a 3.5 mm audio jack, a microSD storing up to 32 GB, 3G, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g and a 3.2 Meg Camera is all powered by its 800MHz processor.
The specs, price and name tell you this is a handset Samsung are aiming at the mass market.

Available now in Europe, there is no launch date for the US yet.
The Spica has a first - it's the only Android handset capable of playing DivX movies. The version of Android supplied is a little puzzling though because it is the older 1.5 ("Cupcake") release. Presumably an OTA update will bring in a later version.
